Hopkins wins over Pavlik

Bernard Hopkins won over Kelly Pavlik. He literally gave him a boxing lesson and a first loss that he will remember long after the aches heal. Hopkins employed lightning fast combos and an almost perfect defense that ultimaely embarrassed Pavlik in the 12 round bout. The match was held in Boardwalk Hall, saturday night. Hopkins dominated the middleweight class for ten years and made it look like Pavlik, the WBC and WBO title holder, an amateur and powerless. Hopkins is very happy to have fought his best performance ever. You could obviously see the mismatch on the first round. Pavlik was bleeding on the fifth round. During one round, he was able to land 5 consecutive punches.
