Boxing Ring Retirement
As we all know, boxers, referees, judges, and coaches retire. But only now was able to hear that even boxing rings retire.
The 82-year old boxing ring at Madison Square Garden retired. But this doesn’t mean boxing-no-more. In fact a slightly larger ring will replace it. An extraordinary ceremony was done. The world’s greatest champions were there like Joe Frazer, Carlos Ortiz, Virgil Hill and other great boxers. Most of them are already old that they can’t help but reminisce their past with the boxing ring (Garden). I guess most of them became even emotional because of the memories that happened there. Just like Don King said: “The ring is dead. Long live the ring.”
