What You See Is What You Get
Oftentimes we get excited when watching boxing matches. We tend to get attached to the fight that we almost count every punch as a hit. Judges only score punches that lands in legal locations. Even if it can hurt that a punch may be blocked, as long as it is not in the legal location it is not considered a point. It is illegal to punch at the back of the head, and of course below the belt. Punching in those areas will more likely cost a boxer deductions and even disqualifications. The weight of every punch and its effect are in the judges’ art of judging.
